Erskine Academy is an independent secondary school dedicated to providing all students a high quality education. Through an extensive academic program, rich and meaningful experiences, and a caring school community, the Academy develops a firm foundation in scholarship, leadership, stewardship, and relationships.

Maine's second largest independent high school, Erskine has a remarkable track record of placement in the nation's highly selective colleges and universities. Located just outside Maine's capital city of Augusta, Erskine Academy serves over 570 domestic and international students. Located close to Maine's coast, lakes, and mountains, Erskine Academy offers ample opportunities for recreation and life adventures beyond the classroom.

INSTRUCTION - Students are actively engaged in learning. With a 9:1 student to teacher ratio students at Erskine Academy have personalized instruction designed for their individual learning needs taught by the highest qualified instructors who are committed to student success. Formalized International Learning Plans are designed for every student to ensure academic success and competitive college entry.

CURRICULUM - With 20 College Board Advanced Placement (AP) courses available at Erskine Academy, students are able to excel academically and qualify for admittance to the most competitive colleges and universities in the United States and throughout the world. In 2015, 243 AP tests were administered to Erskine Academy students. Beyond advanced college courses, Erskine Academy's diversified curriculum provides proficiency in the critical areas of languages, robotics, economics, and mathematics.

ASSESSMENT - Through a purposeful curriculum resulting in a 100% college acceptance rate for our international students, Erskine Academy's curriculum has earned Washington Post's designation of being among "America's Most Challenging High Schools".
